MAKARAAN susugan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagbalangkas ng 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB), tiniyak ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na pagtitibayin ang P6.352-trillion national budget – sukdulang magdoble-kayod ang mga miyembro ng Kamara.
“Aside from our commitment in approving the few remaining LEDAC priority measures (agreed upon during its 5th full council meeting June 25), the House will again work doubly hard to pass the proposed P6.352-trillion 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) before we go on break this end of September 2024,” pahayag pa ni Romualdez.
“We will then transmit the GAB to the Senate for its consideration,” dugtong ng lider ng Kamara.
Gaya ng nauna niyang pangako, siniguro din ng lider ng Kamara ang paglalaan ng sapat na pondo para sa sektor ng edukasyon, agrikultura, modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) gayundin ang para sa kapakanan ng mga kasapi nito, pagpapatupad ng iba’t-ibang infrastructure at legacy projects ng Pangulo at iba pang ilalatag na prayoridad para sa budget allocation.
Pagbibigay-diin ng Leyte lawmaker, kinakailangang na suportahan ang mga nabanggit na sektor para sa layuning maging accessible at abot-kaya ang presyo ng mga produktong pagkain, mapabilis ang kaunlaran ng bansa sa isang mapayapa at matatag na kapaligiran.
“We have to continue building roads, highways, ports, school buildings, climate change-proof structures, and similar infrastructure to maintain and expand economic growth. Progress has to reach the remotest communities,” pahabol ni Romualdez.
