KUMPIYANSA ang grupong naghain ng pangatlong impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio na ang salaysay ni Ramil Madriaga ang tuluyang magdidiin at magpapatalsik sa pangalawang pangulo.
Pag-amin ni Atty. Amando Virgil Ligutan na tumatayong legal counsel ng grupo, “missing link” ang testimonya ni Madriaga na kilalang malapit kay Duterte sa loob ng mahabang panahon.
Gayunpaman, tiwala ang abogado na matibay at sapat ang mga ebidensyang ipiprisinta ng grupo ng mga pari para tuluyang mapatalsik bilang bise-presidente si Duterte.
“On one hand, the case can stand even without the affidavit of Ramil Madriaga. Why? Because the Vice President, her two offices, submitted fictitious names as alleged recipients of these millions of pesos entrusted to her,” wika ni Ligutan.
Partikular na tinukoy ng abogado ang mga hawak na sertipikasyon mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) na nagpapatunay na “fictitious” ang mga pangalan na tinukoy ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd) na nakatanggap ng confidential funds.
“We have certifications from the Philippine Statistic Authority saying that these individuals do not exist. They were not born. They are not dead. They are what they are. Fictitious,” aniya pa.
Dagdag ni Ligutan, ang testimonya ni Madriaga ay magpapalakas sa reklamong ng maling paggamit ni Duterte-Carpio ng nasa P125 million na confidential fund ng OVP, na naubos sa loob lamang ng 11 araw noong Disyembre 2022.
“And here comes, out of the blue, providing the missing link, so to speak, on how the Vice President actually did it. Ramil Madriaga’s affidavit narrates how the 125 million pesos were actually spent on December 2022,” saad ng legal counsel.
Sa kanilang inihaing verified impeachment complaint, sinabi ni Ligutan na nakapaloob din ang mga ebidensiyang nagpapakita ng dokumento na mula mismo kay Duterte-Carpio kung paano ginamit ang confidential funds ng DepEd, na aabot naman sa P112,500,000.00.
“And we have the Vice President herself, she signs certifications saying that she ordered how the millions of pesos, how these should be spent. So, we have everything. We have witnesses, we have documents to prove that the Vice President violated her oath.” (ROMER R. BUTUYAN)
