KUNG nagagawa mag-imbestiga sa mga bulong-bulungan kaugnay ng umano’y planong destabilisasyon sa bansa, bakit hindi pwede ang pasabog ng isang kongresistang aminadong pasok sa anomalya?
Sa isang kalatas, hinikayat ng National Unity Party (NUP) ang pamahalaan ikonsidera ang paglulunsad ng isang malalimang imbestigasyon sa alegasyong ipinukol ni former Ako Bicol partylist Rep. Zaldy Co laban sa administrasyon.
Partikular na kinalampag ngNUP ang Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) — “Ultimately, we owe it to the nation to confront these issues with sobriety, courage, and resolve,” saad ng NUP sa isang pahayag.
“Our allegiance should not be to any political side, but rather to the truth, and the pursuit of truth must transcend political lines if it is ever to bring us closer to justice and accountability. Let us not forget that, ultimately, it is to the Filipino people that we owe our fealty and our positions,”
Kasabay nito, nanawagan ang NUP ng buong kooperasyon ng mga personalidad na kinaladkad ni Co sa kanyang video kung saan idinawit si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., at Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman sa P100-billion budget insertion sa ilalim ng 2025 national budget.
Gayunpaman, nilinaw ng NUP na kailangan makabalik sa bansa ang kongresista para personal na manumpa sa testimonya.
“We further call for Mr. Co to appear before these investigations and testify under oath to these accusations he publicly raised. If his assertions are grounded in fact, then there can be no fear in bringing the full truth to light.”
