SA gitna ng patuloy na tensyon sa West Philippine Sea, tiniyak ng pamunuan ng Kamara ang paglalaan ng sapat na pondo para sa modernisasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, gayundin para sa kapakanan ng mga sundalong Pinoy.
Kasabay ng pagdalo ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa ika-77 anibersaryo ng Philippine Air Force, nangako si House Speaker Martin Romualdez na tututukan ng mababang kapulungan ng kongreso ang pagpapatibay ng P6.352-trillion budget sa ilalim ng isinusulong na 2025 General Appropriations Act.
“We are committed to providing the necessary legislative support to ensure that the modernization programs and welfare initiatives for our armed forces are fully funded and effectively implemented,” wika ni Romualdez.
“We will continue to work on policies that enhance our defense capabilities, improve the conditions of service for our soldiers, and ensure that the Philippines remains safe and secure,” dugtong ng lider ng Kamara.
Siniguro din ni Romualdez ang suporta ng administrasyong Marcos sa pagpapalakas ng kakayahan ng sandatahang lakas para ipagtanggol ang bansa laban sa agresyon at banta sa seguridad ng Pilipinas.
“We recognize that in this ever-evolving world, our security apparatus must be dynamic, robust, and forward-looking. The administration has thus embarked on a comprehensive modernization program aimed at upgrading our defense systems and ensuring that our armed forces are equipped with the latest technology and resources necessary to meet the challenges of the modern battlefield,” hirit pa ng Leyte lawmaker.
Bilang patunay aniya, susuportahan ng Kongreso ang paglalaan ng sapat na pananalapi para makabili ng tinawag niyang “advanced aircraft, cutting-edge radar systems at state-of-the-art equipment.”
“These advancements are not merely for show; they are essential tools that enable our air force to execute its mandate with greater efficiency and effectiveness. They are a testament to our unwavering resolve to safeguard our nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” ani Romualdez.
Garantiya pa ng lider kongresista, bibigyan ng kaukulang pansin ng Kamara ang kapakanan ng mga kasapi ng Hukbong Sandatahan.
“Recognizing the immense sacrifices you make, the administration has implemented various programs aimed at improving your living conditions, providing comprehensive health care, and ensuring that your families are well-supported. These measures are in place to ensure that you can perform your duties with peace of mind, knowing that your loved ones are taken care of,” ayon sa mambabatas.
Samantala, kinilala rin ni Speaker Romualdez ang mga Air Force personnel sa aniya’y “dedication, bravery, and unwavering commitment to duty are the pillars upon which our nation’s security stands.”
“The bravery and gallantry of our air force personnel in protecting our territory and sovereign rights cannot be overstated. Your relentless patrols, swift responses to threats, and tireless efforts in various operations demonstrate a level of dedication and professionalism that serves as an inspiration to all Filipinos. Your actions are a vital line of defense against those who seek to undermine our nation’s peace and security,” pahayag pa niya.
Hindi rin aniya dapat kalimutan ang ambag at sakripisyo ng PAF sa humanitarian at disaster response operations.
“Your swift and efficient actions during calamities have saved countless lives and provided critical support to communities in distress. These efforts highlight not only your versatility but also your deep commitment to serving the Filipino people in their times of greatest need.”
