SA gitna ng matinding alinsangang dulot ng sabayang epekto ng panahon ng tag-init at El Niño phenomenon, inatasan ng Korte Suprema ang mga huwes na silipin ang kondisyon ng mga Persons Deprived of Liberty sa nasasakupang hurisdiksyon.
Sa isang circular na inilabas ng Office of the Court Administrator, kailangan din magsumite ng ulat sa pagbisita sa mga piitan bago ang itinakdang deadline – Mayo 31, bukod pa sa quarterly visitation na bahagi ng trabaho ng mga huwes.
“Persons Deprived of Liberty may also be negatively impacted by this extreme heat and weather conditions, more so as they are detained in crowded facilities,” saad ni Court Administrator Raul Villanueva sa nilagdaang circular.
“Within five calendar days after the jail visit herein mandated, concerned judges shall submit to their respective Executive Judges the required Court Jail Visitation and Inspection Report in accordance with Section 2 of the aforesaid Guidelines,” dagdag pa ni Villanueva.
