NAG-ISYU ng subpoena ad testificandum ang House Committee on Justice para iprisinta sa kanila ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang tax records of Vice President Sara Duterte at mister na si Atty. Manases Carpio.
Sa naturang subpoena, na may petsang Marso 31, 2026, nais din ng House panel na humarap sa impeachment proceedings si BIR Commissioner Atty. Charlito Martin Mendoza at dalhin ang nabanggit na rekord, kasama na ang nasa halos 20 taon na income tax returns ng mag-asawa.
Layunin ng kautusan makita ang tax compliance at reported income ng bise-presidente at esposo sa iba’t-ibang sinasabing negosyo ng dalawa.
Kabilang sa mga target silipin ang Metro City Chow Foods Corp., Gencorp Industries Inc., Carpio Lawyers, 888 Bistro, CALE88 Foods Corp., Madayaw Fisheries Corp., Mati City Ice Plant and Cold Storage Inc., Amianan Shores Inc., Geometry Security and Investigation Agency Inc., at Cabletow 88 Shipping and Marine Services Inc.
“The records are needed to identify and authenticate the submissions to your office, such as but not limited to the Income Tax Returns and Annual Financial Statements of Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte and her spouse, Manases Carpio, as well as the various entities in which they hold interests, as well as testify thereon,” saad sa isang bahagi ng subpoena ng komite sa BIR.
Pirmado nina Speaker Faustino Dy III at Justice Committee Chairperson Gerville Luistro ang subpoena.
