MATAPOS mapatunayan may sala sa kasong sex trafficking by force, fraud at coercion, target ng Estados Unidos makuha ang kustodiya sa sentensyadong Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Gayunpaman, nilinaw ni Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez na wala pang natatanggap na extradition request ang Embahada ng Pilipinas na nakabase sa Estados Unidos.
Para kay Romualdez, normal lang na humiling ng extradition ang US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alinsunod sa hatol na inilabas ng US District Court for the Central District of California laban kay Quiboloy.
Bukod sa kasong sex trafficking by force, fraud at coercion, napatunayan din ng US District Court na nagkasala si Quiboloy sa iba pang asunto kabilang ang panghahalay ng mga kababaihang menor de edad na miyembro ng KOJC chapter sa Estados Unidos.
Bukod sa Philippine Embassy, pwede rin aniyang ideretso ng US Embassy na nasa Pilipinas ang extradition request sa Department of Justice (DOJ).
Nahaharap din sa sandamukal na kaso si Quiboloy sa Pilipinas.
Samantala, nangangamba naman ang DOJ sa posibilidad ng pagtakas palabas ng bansa ng kontrorbersyal na pastor, kasabay ng hirit sa korte na maglabas ng hold departure order (HDO) laban kay Quiboloy na sinampahan ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Act).
“Once you have a respondent or an accused that is a flight risk, especially given the resources that this person has, then the prosecutors are very diligent in making sure that the accused (won’t be able) to leave the country without facing the allegations in the proper forum,” pahayag ni Justice Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano.
