SA loob ng susunod na anim na buwan, hindi muna pwede pumasok sa munisipyo si Porac, Pampanga Mayor Jing Capilipi matapos patawan ng anim na buwang preventive suspension ng Office of the Ombudsman bunsod ng kabiguan supilin ang operasyon ng Lucky South 99 POGO hub.
Bukod kay Capili, suspendido rin sina Vice Mayor Francis Laurence Tamayo at Emerald Vital, na tumatayong officer-in-charge ng Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO).
Swak din sa suspension order sina Konsehal Rohner Buan, Rafael Canlapan, Adrian Carreon, Regin Clarete, Essel Joy David, Hilario Dimalanta, Michelle Santos at John Nuevy Venson.
Nag-ugat ang suspensyon sa kasong isinampa ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Ang batayan ng Ombudsman — kawalan ng aksyon alinsunod sxa mandato.
Sa inilabas na kautusan ng Ombudsman, lumalabas na pinayagan ng lokal na pamahalaan ang operasyon ng Lucky South 99 sa kabila pa ng kawalan ng business permits mula taong 2021 hanggang 2023.
Hindi din umano alintana ng mga lokal na opisyal ang pagtatapos sa bisa ng lisensya ng Lucky South 99 mula sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).
“Without delving into the merits of the case and without prejudging the same, these are sufficient grounds to hold that the evidence of guilt is strong at this time,” saad sa isang bahagi ng utos ng Ombudsman.
Sa bigat umano ng kaso, posibleng matanggal din sa pwesto ang mga suspendidong opisyal sa sandaling mapatunayang totoo, alinsunod sa Revised Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service.
“Given the respondents’ power and authority, there is strong probability that they may influence witnesses or tamper with any evidence material to the case, and in order likewise to prevent any case of malfeasance and/or misfeasance, hence this Preventive Suspension,” dugtong ng Ombudsman.
Buwan ng Hunyo nang salakayin ng Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) ang Lucky South 99 POGO hub na pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa torture, human trafficking at scamming activities.
