TALIWAS sa paniwala ng marami, hindi sa China magtatago ang puganteng former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, ayon sa Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
Sa isang pulong-balitaan, hayagang si PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio na hindi nanaisin ni Guo bumalik sa China kung saan nakaamba di umano ang pag-aresto.
Paliwanag ni Casio, mahigpit na ipinagbabawal sa China ang lahat ng uri ng sugal – higit lalo sa mga pinaniniwalaang sangkot sa operasyon ng illegal offshore gaming operation.
“She will definitely not go to China in as much as she is already a person of interest as much as China’s concerned she’s accused of a serious crime in the Philippines in relation to illegal gambling,” ani Casio.
Kung mayroon man nakikitang pwedeng pagtaguan ang dating mayor ng Bamban, iyon ay sa bansang Cambodia kung saan lider di umano ng isang malaking sindikato ang mga magulang ng sinibak na alkalde.
Katunayan aniya, may mga natanggap na impormasyon ang PAOCC hinggil sa nakatakdang pagtawid ni Guo sa Golden Triangle — isang rehiyong higit na kilala bilang kanlungan ng mafia at triad.
“We’re confident that she’s trying to get into the Golden Triangle because the Guo Family has business interest, gambling interests in Cambodia. So, that would be the safest bet that we have as of this moment,” dugtong ng ng tagapagsalita ng PAOCC.
“So, the Golden Triangle, those countries are very porous in boundaries as I imagined and we know what the Golden Triangle entails when we talk about transnational organized crime,” aniya pa.
Malabo rin aniyang magtungo si Guo sa Europa at maging sa Amerika.
“If I am a criminal from the Philippines, I will not go to countries where extradition between that territory and the Philippines exists and I will not go to territories that are party to the international… to the United Nations… UNTOC so to speak, United Nations Convention on Transnational Crime – I will never go to those places kasi madali po akong maibabalik.”
