NATAGPUANG nakahandusay sa sahig at walang malay sa loob ng detention room ng International Criminal Court sa The Hague si former President Rodrigo Duterte, ayon sa anak na si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Sa isang kalatas, nagpahayag ng pagkabahala ang bise presidente sa aniya’y naantalang abiso ng ICC sa pamilya ng dating pangulo.
Aniya, nakatakdang isailalim sa iba’t ibang pagsusuri ang dating pangulo matapos ang naturang insidente.
“[C]redible information received by the family from hospital sources reveals that Former President Duterte had to be subjected to laboratory tests after being found unconscious on the floor of his room.”
“The family was not informed of the “accident” and no explanation was given. These alarming developments raise grave concerns about the capacity of the ICC to guarantee the security and safety of FPRRD,” saad sa pahayag ni VP Sara.
Para kay Sara, malinaw na may kapabayaan ang ICC tulad ng kawalan ng agarang tugon sa simpleng medical emergency ng dating pangulo tulad ng pamamaga ng daliri sa paa ng dating pangulo.
Malinaw din aniyang higit na kailangan ng 24-oras na bedside caregiver si dating Pangulo lalo pa aniya’y malubhang karamdaman bunsod ng katandaan.
“The continued detention of Former President Duterte under such troubling conditions is not only unjust but inhumane. It amounts to punishment without having been convicted of any crime,”dagdag ni VP Sara.
Iginiit din ng batang Duterte ang interim release ng amang aniya’y wala nang kakayahan tumakas sa kinakaharap na kaso.
“The ICC should act now to rectify this gross injustice and ensure that Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is afforded the proper care and, ultimately, the humanitarian considerations he rightfully deserves.”
