GAWA-GAWA lamang at walang basehan ang panibagong banat ni Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte hinggil sa Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez, ayon sa tagapagsalita ng Kamara.
Pasaring ni House Spokesperson Princess Abante, nais lamang umano ni Duterte guluhin ang isipan ng taumbayan, kasabay ng giit na isang malaking ka-impokrituhan ang patutsada ng alkaldeng aniya’y mahilig magpakalat ng fake news.
“Mayor Sebastian Duterte’s latest tirade is another baseless attempt to smear Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez. The figures he cites are nothing but absurd fabrications – proof once again of Duterte’s penchant for fake news,” pahayag ni Abante.
“What makes this even more ironic is that the Dutertes are known for keeping their own SALNs a closely guarded secret, refusing to make them public despite years in power. Now they dare lecture others about transparency? That is hypocrisy of the highest order,” dugtong niya.
Ayon kay Abante, ang SALN ni Romualdez ay regular na isinumite alinsunod sa batas.
“The Speaker’s SALN, unlike theirs, is filed in accordance with law. If the Dutertes truly believe in accountability, they should start by releasing their own SALNs to the public, instead of inventing lies to cover up their own failures,” aniya pa.
Sa litanya ni Duterte, mula sa P200 million noong 2022, ang net worth umano ni Romualdez ay lumobo sa P3 billion, kasabay ng panawagan sa House Committee on Appropriations na imbestigahan ang lider ng Kamara.
Mahigpit na pinabulaanan ni Abante ang patutsada ng alkalde sa likod ng tinawag niyang walang pakundangan at maling akusasyon — na bahagi pa rin ng estratehiya ng pamilya Duterte, ang magkalat ng fake news para pagtakpan ang sariling bulilyaso. (ROMEO ALLAN BUTUYAN II)
