BUKOD sa di umano’y nalantad na pakitang tao, lumabas din ang ‘immaturity’ o pagiging isip-bata ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa patutsada at pagtatalaga sa sarili bilang “designated survivor” na dahilan kung bakit hindi siya dadalo sa ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr..
Kasabay nito, nagpahayag ng pangamba si Deputy Speaker at Quezon Representative David “Jay-jay” Suarez sa negatibong epekto ng kontrobersyal na pahayag ng Pangalawang Pangulo.
“Offhand, the VP’s statements are not what we expected from someone holding the second highest office in the land,” tahasang sabi ni Suarez.
“Ang kanyang pahayag ay nagpapakita ng kakulangan ng maturity na dapat ay taglay niya bilang isang mataas na opisyal ng gobyerno,” dugtong niya.
Si Suarez ay kabilang sa hanay ng mga kongresista na nagpahayag ng agam-agam at pumuna sa litanya ni Duterte.
“It raises a critical question: What are the implications of such a statement for the safety and unity of our government leaders?” ayon pa sa ranking House official.
“Regardless of her intentions, her remark is a reminder of the importance of ensuring the security and safety of the President and other officials in the line of succession,” giit pa niya.
Sinabi ni Suarez na ang naging komento ng pangalawang-pangulo ay nagpapalakas sa lumalaking hinala na ang pagpapakita ng pakikiisa nito kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. noon ay pakitang-tao lamang.
“Ngayon ay mas malinaw sa atin ang tunay na motibo at pagkatao ni Vice President Duterte,” dagdag pa ni Suarez.
Samantala, tahasan naman sinabi ni Anakalusugan Rep. Ray Reyes na walang puwang sa Bagong Pilipinas ang toxic politics, kasabay ng giit na dapat prayoridad ng mga lider ng bansa ay ang pagpapaunlad ng bayan.
“We express great concern over the recent statements made by the Vice President regarding her self-appointment as the “designated survivor” for the President’s upcoming State of the Nation Address (Sona). Such comments are not only in poor taste but also reflect a dangerous and outdated approach to politics that we must leave behind,” ani Reyes.
“The Vice President’s joke trivializes the serious matter of national security. As a nation striving for unity and progress, we cannot afford to indulge in toxic politics that undermine the trust and cooperation necessary for effective governance,” wika pa ng AnaKalusugan partylist lawmaker.
Ani Reyes, sa isinusulong ng Marcos administrasyon na ‘Bagong Pilipinas’, isinasantabi nito ang maruming uri ng pulitika at ninanais ang pagkakaroon ng isang political environment kung saan umiiral ang respeto, integridad at makabuluhang pagpapalitan ng pananaw.
“Sa Bagong Pilipinas, walang lugar ang toxic politics. Our focus is on inclusive growth, transparency, and accountability. We call on all public officials to rise above petty politics and contribute positively to the nation’s development,” pahabol ni Reyes.
