“Even as many questions remain unanswered about the maritime disaster involving the MV June Aster ferry, now is the time for our authorities and the maritime industry to work together to ensure passenger safety,” wika ni House Committee on Public Order and Safety Vice Chair at Abra lone district Rep. JB Bernos.

“I urge the government to conduct a thorough review of the standards and processes of our inter-island vessels. Over the long term, we must work towards ensuring that we reach the required level of safety and competence to avoid further tragedies in the future,” dagdag niya.
