Jonvic sinopla ng DOJ, Atong Ang nasa Pinas pa

TALIWAS sa paandar ni Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, hindi pa nakakalabas ng bansa ang negosyanteng si Charli “Atong” Ang na pinaniniwalaang mastermind sa likod ng pagdukot at pagpatay sa mga tinaguriang missing sabungero.

Sa isang panayam, iginiit ni Justice Secretary Frederick Vida na nasa Pilipinas pa rin si Ang — base sa rekord ng Bureau of Immigrations (BI).

“From our sources which we verified from BI, wala kasi kaming record so I cannot confirm that he is already out of the country kasi we will rely based on what we have on immigration records. Based on immigration records, wala kaming record that he left,” wika ni Vida.

“Per our records or available records which we can verify and validate, he’s still in the country,” dagdag ng Kalihim

Una nang inihayag ni Remulla na nakapuslit na palabas ng bansa si Ang na umano’y dumaan sa “backdoor.”

“We do understand that there are several instances in the past na nakakalabas. That’s really the challenge. Very porous kasi ‘yung borders natin eh,” pahabol ni Vida.
