PARA sa pamunuan ng Kamara, isang malinaw na indikasyon ng wastong pamamahala sa ekonomiya ng administrasyong Marcos ang 5.4% gross domestic product (GDP) growth ng Pilipinas.
“This growth means more than just numbers. It means jobs, livelihood, and greater economic activity in our communities,” pahayag ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“The economy is moving—and it’s moving in the right direction, because the President’s policies are working not only for investors and big businesses but more importantly for ordinary Filipinos,” dugtong ng Leyte lawmaker.
Sa pagsusuri ng mga ekonomista, lumalabas na pantay ang antas ng pag-unlad ng Pilipinas at China. Dinaig din ng Pilipinas ang Indonesia at Malaysia.
Paliwanag ng lider-kongresista, ang naitalang pag-unlad ay nangangahulugan ng mas maraming oportunidad sa paghahanapbuhay, malakas na suporta sa mga maliliit na negosyo, mas mataas na pondo para sa public infrastructure at agrikultura gayundin ang mas mahusay na government services, na natutustusan dahil sa mataas na tax collections.
“As more sectors grow, from manufacturing to construction, logistics, tourism, and digital services, we are seeing more hiring, more spending, and more money circulating in our barangays and local economies,” ani Romualdez.
“Ibig sabihin po nito, mas maraming trabaho, mas mataas ang kumpiyansa ng negosyo, at mas marami ang inaasahang benepisyo para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” paliwanag pa niya.
Tiniyak naman ng House Speaker na patuloy na makikipagtulungan ang Kamara sa administrasyong Marcos partikular sa pagsusulong ng 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda nito, kabilang ang pagkakaroon ng matatag na food security, pagpapatupad ng digital transformation, energy sustainability, at social protection.
“We are determined to make sure that this growth reaches every Filipino home—from the farmers in the provinces, to workers in the cities, to small entrepreneurs trying to recover from the pandemic,” pangwakas ni Romualdez. (ROMEO ALLAN BUTUYAN II)
