Sa atas ng tri-committee na inatasang magsagawa ng “congressional investigation in aid of legislation,” inaprubahan ang hirit ni Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano na i-cite in contempt sina Allan Troy “Sass” Rogando Sasot, Lorraine Marie Tablang Badoy-Partosa, at Jeffrey Almendras Celiz.
“Mr. Jeffrey Celiz, Ms. Badoy, and Ms. Sasot violated section 11 paragraph A, may I respectfully move that the three mentioned names be detained until the committee hearing will be terminated and be detained in the premises of the House,” ani Paduano.
Samantala, sinampal rin ng contempt citation ang pro-Duterte vlogger na si Mark Anthony Lopez matapos banatan ang komite sa dinaluhang pagdinig.
Gayunpaman, binigyan lang si Lopez ng 10 araw na paruaang kulong sa Batasan Detention Center.
“Mr. Chairman, with this blog made by Mr. Mark Lopez, Mr. Chairman, this is in violation of once again section 11 paragraph F of our internal rules, undue interference during the proceedings, Mr. Chairman, or committee investigation,” wika ni Paduano.
Binasa ng solon ang ilang bahagi ng blog ni Lopez na aniya’y naglalayong sirain ang kredibilidad ng komite.
“It was blatantly used that there was a concerted effort to humiliate us and bring us down on our knees,” ani Paduano. “Even mainstream media are gleefully celebrating and pouncing on our forced breakdown and takedown in Tri-Comm hearing.”
“Now, Mr. Chairman, for the second motion, in the case of Mr. Mark Anthony Lopez under our rules in violation of letter F is only maximum of 10 days,” ani Paduano, na tumatayong chairman ng House Committee on Public Accounts.
“So with that, Mr. Chairman, I move that Mr. Mark Anthony Lopez be detained in the premises of the House for 10 days,” dagdag pa niya.
Naghain din ng panibagong mosyon si Paduano sa hangaring tukuyin ang kinaroroonan ni Sassot.
“May I respectfully move that we will ask the DFA and the Bureau of Immigration for the status, recent status of Ms. Sassot and for the two agencies to report to this committee ASAP,” ani Paduano.
Hiniling niya na alamin din ng DFA at Bureau of Immigration ang estado ni Celiz.
Si Badoy ay isinailalim din sa contempt sa kabilang ng isinumiteng travel documents kung saan nakasaad na siya’y nasa Hong Kong.
“May I respectfully move that we cite in contempt Ms. Badoy Partosa in violation of section 11 paragraph A of our internal rules for refusal to answer summons without legal excuse,” ani Paduano.
Ang Tri-Com ay binubuo ng House Committees on Public Information, Public Order and Safety, at Information and Communications Technology.
