TALIWAS sa sinasabi ng kanyang mga kritiko, ang resulta ng pinakabagong Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey kung saan nakuha ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang ‘near majority trust rating’ na senyales na hindi “lame duck” ang lider ng bansa.
Ito ang tahasang sinabi ni Zambales 1st Dist. Rep. Jay Khonghun kung saan hayagan niyang pinuri ang magandang public trust rating ng Chief Executive sa kalagitnaan ng termino.
“President BBM remains to be a strong, an effective and a compassionate leader,” malugod na pahayag pa ng Zambales lawmaker at House assistant majority leader sa nakaraang 19th Congress.
Batay sa nasabing survey, tumaas ng 12 percentage points ang trust rating ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na mula 36 percent noong Abril ay naging 38 porsyento noong Mayo, at umabot sa 48 percent nitong Hunyo.
Hindi rin nagpaiwan ang Kamara na nakapagtala ng 57 percent trust rating noong nakalipas na buwan ng Hunyo — mula sa 34 porsyento noong Abril at 49 percent ng sumunod na buwan ng Mayo.
“Our leader in the House is the principal ally of President BBM in Congress. An improvement in the trust level of Speaker Romualdez and in our chamber means expanded support for PBBM and his Bagong Pilipinas and Agenda for Prosperity roadmap,” reaksyon ni Khonghun sa pagtaas ng public trust rating ng Kamara.
“The President can continue to rely on Speaker Romualdez to make his vision and programs a reality,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa panig ni La Union Rep. Francisco Paolo Ortega V, sinabi naman nito na ang malaking pagtaas sa trust rating ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. at ng Kamara de Representantes ay patunay ng epektibong pamumuno ng Punong Ehekutibo at ni Speaker Romualdez.
“This significant increase in the level of trust in President Marcos Jr. and in the House of the People reflects growing popular support for the strong leadership of the President and Speaker Romualdez,” sabi pa ni Ortega, na senior deputy majority leader ng ika-19 na Kongreso.
Sinabi rin niya na ito ay isang kumpirmasyon ng tiwala ng publiko sa kahanga-hangang performance ng administrasyon ni Marcos at ng Kamara sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Speaker Romualdez ang resulta ng SWS survey.
“We are happy for our President, our leader in the House and for all of us, members of the House, because the increases in the trust levels of our President, our Speaker and the House of the People also mean that the public appreciates what we have been trying to do for them, which, in general, is to improve, through legislative and constituency measures, their quality of life,” dagdag pa ng La Union solon.
Para naman kay Manila 6th Dist. Rep. Bienvenido “Benny” Abante Jr., ang mataas na trust rating na ito ay indikasyon ng pagkakaroon ng malaking pagtitiwala at paniniwala sa mga hakbang na ginagawa ng Kamara.
“Nakakatuwa. Natutuwa ako don. Ibig sabihin talaga nakikita natin na bumabalik ang tiwala ng taong bayan sa House of Representatives. Ibig sabihin naniniwala sila sa ginagawa namin o sa ginagawa ng House of Representatives.
