TALIWAS sa giit ni Vice President Sara Duterte na batid ng Kamara ang pagliban sa itinakdang budget deliberation, wala saan mang bahagi ng liham ng pangalawang pangulo ang nagpapahiwatig ng kanyang hindi pagdalo.
Ayon kay Rider Partylist Rep. Rodge Gutierrez na bahagi ng tinaguriang ‘Young Guns’ ng Kamara, hindi katanggap-tanggap ang asal ni VP Sara sa patawag ng House Committee on Appropriations para sa plenary deliberation kaugnay sa proposed 2025 national budget para sa Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Para kay Gutierrez, malinaw na kawalan ng paggalang sa Kongreso ang ipinamalas ni Duterte.
“If we take note, the contents of the letter, is a reiteration of the answer that they interposed even for the pre-budget deliberations,” wika ng neophyte solon mula sa minorya.
“In other words, she only repeated that she is leaving it to the House to decide on the fate of her budget. However, it does not say that she will not participate with our processes,” dagdag pa niya.
Partikular na tinumbok ni Gutierrez ang liham ng OVP noong ika-11 ng Setyembre kay Lanao del Sur Zia Alonto Adiong na tumayong sponsor sa proposed budget proposal ng OVP.
“It does not say that she will not attend, it does not say that she will send an authorized representative, so I don’t think the Sept. 11 letter would be any indication of what transpired Monday. So, I don’t think we could have been prepared,” giit ni Gutierrez.
Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ng OVP na fake news ang sinabi ni Kabataan Rep. Raoul Manuel na pinaghintay ni Duterte ng 17 oras ang mga kongresista. Kalakip ng post ang isang pahinang sulat ng OVP kay Adiong, na natanggap nito noong Setyembre 16, nang magsimula ang deliberasyon ng plenaryo sa panukalang badyet.
