IBINASURA ng Sandiganbayan ang kasong graft and malversation laban sa tinaguriang pork barrel queen na si Janet Napoles at dalawa pang dating opisyales ng pamahalaan kaugnay ng Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.
Sa desisyon ng Sandiganbayan Second Division, nabigo di umano ang mga tagausig na magsumite ng mga ebidensyang magdidiin kina Napoles, National Livelihood Development Corporation president Gondelina Amata, at NLDC assets management division chief Gregoria Buenaventura kaugnay ng P5-milyong PDAF allocation ni former La Union Representative Victor Francisco Ortega noong 2009.
Gayunpaman, mananatili sa likod ng rehas si Napoles na sentensyado sa ibang kaso.
Ayon sa korte, walang mga dokumentong patunay na pag-aari at kontrolado ni Napoles ang Social Development Program for Farmers Foundation Inc. (SDPFFI), na benepisyaryo ng PDAF allocation para sa proyektong pangkabuhayan ni Ortega sa nasasakupang distrito.
Hindi rin nakumbinsi ng tagausig ang Sandiganbayan na nakinabang sina Amata at Buenaventura sa kontrobersyal na PDAF scam.
”There was also no proof to show that accused Amata and Buenaventura made any representation to effectuate the release of the PDAF in favor of SDPFFI, to the detriment of the government,” saad sa isang bahagi ng resolusyon ng Sandiganbayan.
”By and large, the evidence on record fails to make out a clear and convincing case for the accused’s conviction.”
