MATAPOS ang baryang rollback, big-time oil price hike ang isinunod ng mga kumpanya ng langis sa binebentang produktong petrolyo sa merkado.
“We will be expecting an increase in the domestic pump prices of petroleum products by Tuesday next week due to the developments in the international oil market,” wika ni Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) Director III Rodela Romero, batay sa resulta ng oil trading sa world market sa nakalipas na linggo.
Base sa pagtataya ng DOE-OIMB, 85 sentimos ang umento sa presyo ng gasolina, habang P1.70 naman sa krudo at P1.90 sa kerosene.
Gayunpaman, karaniwang mas mataas sa pagtataya ng DOE-OIMB ang ipinapataw na dagdag-presyo ng mga oil companies sa bansa – bagay na kinumpirma ng DOE na nagsabing pwede pang magbago ang ipapataw na dagdag-presyo depende sa kalalabasan ng oil trading sa huling araw ng kalakalan para sa buong linggo.
“Among the relevant news that contributed to the trajectory increase of oil prices are the upbeat global demand forecasts from EIA (Energy Information Administration) and OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) coupled with data showing a sharper than expected drop in US crude inventories; uncertainties over the timing of the US Fed Reserves on the interest rate cut and the reduced Saudi exports to China and potential US reserve purchases,” paliwanag ni Romero.
