SA hangarin bahagyang maibsan ang dusa ng mga pasahero bunsod ng mabigat na daloy ng trapiko, target ng bagong hirang na Kalihim ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) palawigin ang operating hours ng MRT at LRT sa Metro Manila.
“We need to demand longer hours… for passenger welfare. We want to make the commuting public lives’ easier and that’s the easiest way – increasing the operating hours by two hours. Ang laking bagay nun in terms of pila,” wika ni Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon.
Paglilinaw ng Kalihim, batid niyang kaakibat ng extended operating hours ang dagdag-gastos sa maintenance, kasabay ng giit na mandato ng gobyerno humanap ng paraan para para sa kapakanan ng publiko.
“We will consider all options to make the commuting public’s experience easier. All options are on the table… lengthening of [train] hours. Whatever bright ideas the DOTr, the operators of our rails, of MRTs, LRTs can come up with.”
