HINILING ni Senador Alan Peter Cayetano sa publiko na suportahan ang gaganaping FIVB Volleyball Men’s Championship sa Pilipinas upang maipakita sa buong mundo ang kalibre ng pagiging punong-abala sa mga world-class events.
“What we’re doing here is bigger than just volleyball. It’s bigger than just one team and one group. It’s really an all-of-country effort to show the best of the Filipino,” ani Cayetano kasabay ng pagbubukas ng FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 music partner at ambassadors nitong Marso 4
Bilang Chairman Emeritus ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), iginiit ng senador na matagal nang napatunayan ng bansa na kaya nating magtaguyod ng malaking sporting events, tulad ng 2019 SEA Games at 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
“After the SEA Games, we showed the world that not only can we be champions, but we can also be gracious hosts. We’ve proven again and again that we’re the most hospitable people in the world,” sabi niya.
“We are respectful, resilient, and adaptable. We care about hosting,” dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Cayetano, hindi lang tungkol sa volleyball ang FIVB kundi isang oportunidad para ipakita na kaya ng Pilipinas maging global sports hub kung saan pwedeng magsanay ang mga world-class athletes.
“I just want you all to share that vision because this is something we can imagine and make a reality. After volleyball, we can offer Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as a hosting haven,” aniya.
Hinikayat din ng senador ang publiko, sports organizations, at media na magkaisa upang magtagumpay ang torneo.
“There are a lot of things that divide us. But in sports, in volleyball, we can bring everyone together,” aniya pa.
Ang FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 ay gaganapin sa Pilipinas mula September 12 hanggang 28, 2025, sa SM Mall of Asia Arena at Smart Araneta Coliseum. (ESTONG REYES)
