SA halip na sagutin punto-por-punto ang mga alegasyon ni former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, mas nanaisin ng kongresistang anak ng Pangulo sumalang sa imbestigasyon ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
Sa isang kalatas, nagpahayag ng kahandaan si House Senior Majority Leader Sandro Marcos na dumalo anumang oras na ipatawag ng ICI kaugnay ng umano’y bilyon-bilyong halaga ng budget insertions sa ilalim ng national budget.
Sa kanyang liham kay ICI Chairperson, retired Justice Andres B. Reyes Jr., ipinaabot din ni Marcos ang kanyang “full respect” sa mandato ng nasabing komisyon at pagsusumikap palutangin ang katotohanan sa likod ng tinatawag na flood control scandal.
“Let me state this clearly and without hesitation: I am willing to appear before the Commission at any time. I welcome the opportunity to shed light on any matter that may assist your review,” saad pa ng ranking House official.
“I stand ready to cooperate, answer questions, and provide any clarification needed to move this investigation forwards,” dugtong ng batang Marcos.
