NAKATAKDANG talupan ng House prosecution panel ang punong katiwala ng pangalawang pangulo sa pagpapatuloy ng paglilitis sa Setyembre 2. Sa isang kalatas, pormal na ipinabatid ni House lead prosecutor at Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro sa Senate impeachment court ang pagprisinta kay defense lawyer Michael Poa na tumayong chief of staff sa Vice President Sara Duterte sa panahon ng panunungkulan bilang Kalihim ng Department of Education (DepEd). “In order to maximize the schedule that is given to us by the Honorable Impeachment Court for September 2, that is next Wednesday, Your Honor, we would like to respectfully move for the issuance of a subpoena ad testificandum to Attorney Michael Wesley T. Poa, if the same should be necessary, as well as to Ms. Marizza B. Grande of the [PSA],” pahayag ni Luistro. Agad naman inayunan ni Senate impeachment court presiding officer Francis Escudero ang hiling ni Luistro sa paniwalang “more than willing to testify” si Poa na tumatayong chief defense counsel ng bise-presidente. Gayunpaman, nilinaw ni Escudero na hindi na kailangan pang maglabas ng subpoena sa abogadong walang pagliban sa mga nakalipas na pagdinig ng korte. Pwede rin naman aniyang isalang si Poa sa Setyembre 1 sakaling hindi sumipot ang isa sa dalawang testigong nakatakdang humarap sa naturang petsa.
