SA pagbubukas ng muling sesyon ng Kamara, pinagtibay ng House Justice Committee isalang sa plenaryo ang Articles of Impeachment na isusumite sa Senado na mangangasiwa sa paglilitis sa pangalawang pangulo.
Sa mosyon ni Deputy Speaker at Quezon Rep. Jay-Jay Suarez, nagsagawa ng botohan para aprubahan ang committee report kung saan nakalahad “findings and conclusion” sa ginawang pagsusuri sa impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte.
Pinag-isa rin ng naturang report ang dalawang verified complaints kung saan tinukoy ang mga batayan sa pagsasakdal sa bise presidente, kabilang ang culpable violation of the Constitution, bribery, graft and corruption, other high crimes, at betrayal of public trust.
“Let it be placed on the record that 55 out of 55 members physically present, manifested their support to the approval of the Committee Report, to the attached resolution setting forth the Articles of Impeachment, as amended. The Chair therefore declares the motion unanimously approved,” deklarasyon ni House Justice Committee Chairperson Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro (Batangas) matapos ang botohan.
Sa nilalaman ng Articles of Impeachment, si Duterte ay inakusahan ng:
* Misuse and irregular liquidation of confidential funds totaling at least P500 million in the Office of the Vice President and P112.5 million in the Department of Education
* Amassing unexplained wealth and failing to fully disclose assets in her Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN)
* Bribery and corruption involving officials under her authority
* Contracting or soliciting acts of violence, including alleged threats against top government officials
* Acts of political destabilization and abuse of power
Samantala, inaprubahan din ng komite ang pagsusumite ng mga ebidensyang kinabibilangan ng audit findings ng Commission on Audit (COA), “flagged bank transactions” na ibinahagi sa Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) at mga testimonya mula sa sa hanay ng government officials, civilian witnesses, forensic document examiners at government auditors.
Ani Luistro, nabusisi rin ng komite ang SALN filings ni Duterte kung saan nabisto ang malaking diperensya sa idineklara ng pangalawang pangulo kumpara sa aktwal na yaman.
