SUPORTADO ng Office of the Ombudsman ang panawagan para sa livestreaming ng bicameral deliberation sa panukalang 2026 national budget.
Para kay Ombudsman Crispin Remulla, makakatulong ibalik ang tiwala ng publiko kung bubuksan ang pagtalakay ng Kongreso sa proposed 2026 national budget.
“The Office encourages these practices of openness and transparency, as they allow citizens to better understand and engage with the democratic process,” saad sa kalatas ng Ombudsman.
Una nang ibinahagi ng Palasyo ang planong i-livestream ang mga bicam meeting sa hangaring tiyakin na walang magaganap na budget insertion.
“By opening its doors to public view, the Bicameral Committee affirms that democracy thrives best when its processes are seen, understood, and scrutinized by the very people it serves.”
“The Ombudsman commends this initiative as a meaningful step toward a more open, participatory, and responsible government,” anang Ombudsman.
