KASTIGO-mayor ang inabot ni Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III mula sa Partido Demokratikong Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) dahil sa paggamit ng partido para isulong ang impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
Partikular na tinukoy ng PDP ang paggamit ng pangalan ng partido sa liham na ipinadala kay Senate President Francis Escudero.
“The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) denounces the illegal use of Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel of the name of the party in his official letter to Senate President Chiz Escudero, urging the Senate to act on the impeachment complaint filed by the House of Representative against Vice President Sara Duterte.”
Ayon pa sa PDP-Laban na kinabibilangan ni former President Rodrigo Duterte, matagal nang umalis si Pimentel sa partido para sumapi sa Nacionalista party.
“Therefore, the PDP Laban kindly requests the Honorable Senator to refrain from misusing the name PDP Laban and misleading the Filipino people about his current party affiliation.”
