SA pagpasok sa Holy Month of Ramadan, binigyang-halaga ang tunay na diwa ng panahon ng pagninilay ng mga Muslim community.
Sa isang kalatas, nagpaabot ng “mapagpalang pagbati” ang pamunuan ng Kamara, kasabay ng panawagan isabuhay ang disiplina, sakripisyo at pagkakaisa.
“Ang Ramadan ay panahon ng pag-aayuno, taimtim na pagdarasal, at mas malalim na pagninilay. Ito ay paalala ng kahalagahan ng disiplina, sakripisyo, at malasakit sa kapwa,” saad ni House Speaker Faustino Dy sa isang pahayag.
“Sa diwa ng Ramadan, nawa’y lalo nating pagtibayin ang pagkakaisa, kapayapaan, at malasakit sa ating mga komunidad,” dugtong ng Isabela lawmaker.
Nagpahayag din si Dy ng pakikiisa sa Muslim communities, kasabay ng panawagan sa mga lider — ang [paglilingkod na may pagpapakumbaba at matibay integridad.
“May this season renew your faith, strengthen your families, and inspire all of us to lead and serve with humility, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the common good. Ramadan Mubarak.”
Samantala, nagpahayag ng pakikiisa sa Muslim Filipinos si Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez sa pagsisimula ng sagradong buwan ng Ramadan. Ayon kay Romualdez, ang Ramadan ay panahon para sa spiritual renewal at national unity.
“As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters across the Philippines, especially in the Bangsamoro and throughout Mindanao, as you observe this sacred time of fasting, prayer, and devotion to Allah.”
Inilarawan ng former House speaker ang Ramadan bilang “month of spiritual renewal — a time of discipline, humility, and compassion,” noting that through fasting and worship, the faithful strengthen their commitment to righteousness and service.”
“It is a powerful reminder that faith shapes character, and character shapes communities,” dugtong niya.
Giit ni Romualdez, mahalaga ang mutual respect para sa isang “culturally diverse nation.”
“Our diversity is not a barrier to unity; it is the foundation of a stronger and more harmonious Philippines.”
“May this holy month inspire renewed hope, deeper solidarity, and lasting peace in Mindanao and across our country. Ramadan Mubarak. May Allah accept your prayers and fasting, and may He bless your homes with peace, mercy, and prosperity,” pagtatapos ng dating lider ng Kamara. (ROMER R. BUTUYAN)
