
SA 63 partylist congressman na kabilang sa 20th Congress, 58 ang nagtutulak na panatilihin si Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez bilang Speaker ng Kamara.
Ito ang inihayag ni Ako Bicol partylist Rep. Alfredo Garbin kung saan ang nasabing 58 partylist solons ay naghahanda ring maging kasapi ng Partylist Coalition Foundation Inc. (PCFI), na matatag na kaalyado ni Romualdez.
“Sixty-three seats are allocated for party-list representatives, but 58 are supportive of the Speaker and intend to join the Partylist Coalition (PCFI). We are still waiting for the others to submit their application, but during the orientation and get-together, they were present and already signified that they belong to the coalition,” pahayag ng AKO-Bicol partylist congressman.
Ayon kay Garbin, ang PCFI ay bahagi ng supermajority bloc na unang nagpahayag ng pagsuporta sa pagpapatuloy ng pamumuno ni Romualdez sa Kamara partikular ngayong 20th Congress.
Ang iba pang kabilang sa supermajority bloc ay ang Liberal Party (LP), Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (LAKAS), Nacionalista Party (NP), National Unity Party (NUP), Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) at Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).
Nauna rito, inihayag ni House Assistant Majority Leader at Manila 1st Dist. Rep. Ernesto “Ernix” Dionisio Jr. na nasa 287 na kongresista ang suportado si Speaker Romualdez kung saan 283 dito ang lumagda sa isang manifesto. (ROMEO ALLAN BUTUYAN II)
