MATAPOS mabisto ang paggamit ng mga palsipikadong dokumento, tuluyan nang ibinasura ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) ang kontrata sa 3rd party auditor na dating inatasang sumuri sa offshore gaming operations ng mga POGO firms sa bansa.
“After careful investigation and in accordance with R.A. No. 9184 otherwise known as the “Government Procurement Act”, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation is terminating the Consultancy Contract with Global ComRCI, the third-party auditor for licensed offshore gaming operations,” ayon sa pahayag ng Pagcor.
Bukod sa kanselasyon ng kontratang nilagdaan sa pagitan ng naturang ahensya at Global ComRCI, inindorso na rin ng Pagcor sa Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) ang pagsasampa ng patong-patong na kasong kriminal at administratibo.
Target din ng Pagcor na mabawi ang humigit-kumulang P800 milyon na nakuha ng Global ComRCI mula sa naturang ahensya, kasabay ng giit para sa danyos perwisyo.
Setyembre ng nakaraang taon nang umpisahan rebisahin ng bagong pamunuan ng Pagcor ang kontratang iginawad sa Global ComRCI na di umano’y nakitaan ng mga paglabag sa kasunduan.
“Upon careful evaluation, Pagcor has determined the Third-Party Auditor to be IN DEFAULT of its obligations and prima facie evidence to have committed UNLAWFUL ACTS.”
“PAGCOR would like to reiterate that contrary to previous reports, it has not yet paid the contract amount of P6 billion to Global ComRCI. Moreover, no payment has been made by PAGCOR in the past four years due to the shortfall from the minimum revenue stipulated in the contract.”
Samantala, doble-kayod naman ang Pagcor in-house auditors sa santambak na ‘auditing backlogs” na iniwan ng Global COMRCI.
