NANINIWALA si Bayan Muna chair Neri Colminares na ang Bagong Pilipinas campaign kick-off rally sa Luneta ngayong Linggo ay pulong sa Charter change.
Gayunman, mahigpit itong kinontra ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
Inupakan ni Colmenares ang pagtitipon at sinabing pagwawaldas lamang ng pondo ng gobyerno.
“Definitely not. This is an activity by the Executive Department for the covenant of Bagong Pilipinas. This is the Executive Department’s way of showing its commitment that it will do its job… There are no other reasons,” ayon naman kay PCO Undersecretary Gerard Baria.
Ang Bagong Pilipinas rally umano ay pagpapakita kung paanong gumanda ang serbisyo ng gobyerno.
“[Charter change] is within the territory of Congress; it is not part of the responsibilities of the Executive. The focus tomorrow will be specifically for Bagong Pilipinas… to communicate the government’s commitments to level up services,” ayon pa kay Baria.
