10,000 mamamatay kapag pinuwersa pasukin ni Bato?

MAY bagong palusot si Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla sa kabiguan ng pamahalaan dakpin ang puganteng senador na pakay ng isang warrant of arrest mula sa International Criminal Court.

Sa isang press briefing, ibinida ni Remulla na tukoy na ng pamahalaan ang kinaroroonan ni Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

“He’s in Mindanao. He’s under the protection of a group we are currently initiating conversations with for his turnover to the authorities,” wika ng Kalihim.

Gayunpaman, nilinaw ni Remulla na hindi magiging madali ang paghuli sa puganteng senador na umano’y nasa ilalim ng proteksyon ng isang grupo sa Mindanao.

Ayon sa DILG chief, patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng pamahalaan sa grupong kumakanlong kay dela Rosa.

“In exchange for up to 10,000 potential deaths, I would rather negotiate first than cost the lives of Filipinos in this,” ani Remulla. “You don’t always solve problems with a hammer. Sometimes you solve things better in a more peaceful, humane way.”
