“No, the Ombudsman suspension has no effect on the ongoing investigation by the OSG, we’re looking at a different angle, other than the administrative or criminal complaint that might have been filed against Mayor Guo before the Ombudsman. So, walang effect, except probably, mawawalan si Mayor Guo ng control over the evidence that may be available in her office because she’ll be suspended preventively,” wika ni Guevarra sa isang panayam.
“And that’s the purpose of preventive suspension.
“We’re not looking only at a quo warranto petition with the objective of ousting her. Kasi, there may be some other complaints that we need to file first before going into a quo warranto petition,” aniya.
“So, we’ll put them together as we are doing now, partly consolidating, and then we’ll evaluate which of these pieces of evidence can be sustained in a court of law.”
