MINABUTI ng mga abogado sa likod ng ikatlong impeachment complaint na inihain laban kay Sara Duterte na kalampagin na ang Kamara para simulan ang proseso sa pagpapatalsik sa pangalawang pangulo.
Hirit ni Atty. Virgil Lagutan na tumatayong lead counsel ng grupong nagsampa ng ikatlong reklamo, pag-usad ng reklamo sa mga susunod na araw lalo pa aniya’t hindi pa isinumite ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco ang alinman sa tatlong impeachment complaints sa Office of the Speaker.
“Hindi pa nagsimula yung impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte. Many things could happen. If we look at the calendar of the House, I think they will have their last session this coming Wednesday, February 5. Many things could happen from today until the last session day of the House of Representatives before they adjourn,” wika ng abogado.
“My gut feeling tells me something will happen next week. My gut feel is that the impeachment proceedings will finally commence next week,” dagdag pa niya.
Samantala, sinalag ni Lagutan ang patutsada ni former chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo na nagsabing walang kahihinatnan ang isinusulong na impeachment laban sa pangalawang pangulo.
Minaliit din ni Panelo ang idinaos na pro-impeachment rally na nilahukan lang di umano ng 4,000 tao.
“We are just starting. The impeachment proceedings have yet to start. So, we are just starting with the process and if you can see, the number of participants in the rallies is increasing,” tugon ni Lagutan kay Panelo.
