Medical team sa kada polling center — solon

HINIMOK ni AGRI Party-list Rep. Manoy Wilbert Lee ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) at Department of Health (DOH) na sa pagdaraos ng eleksyon ay tiyaking mayroong sapat na medical personnel sa bawat polling precincts na silang aagapay sa sinumang nangangailangan ng health care service.

Partikular na ikinababahala ni Lee ang nararanasang matinding init sa kasalukuyan, kung saan sa araw ng halalan ay maaaring may ilan na maapektuhan nito.

“The extreme heat we are currently experiencing is not just uncomfortable—it is dangerous, especially for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and individuals with underlying health conditions who will go out and vote,” sabi ng Bicolano lawmaker.

“We must be proactive. Kailangan ng sapat na paghahanda, hindi yung kung kailan sa mismong araw ng eleksyon, saka magkukumahog sa mga kakulangan at di-inaasahang pangyayari,” paggigiit niya.

Ayon sa AGRI party-list, na reelectionist sa nalalapit na 2024 National and Local Elections, habang ang poll body ay nakatutok sa pagtitiyak ng mapayapa at maayos na halalan, dapat din nitong tignan ang kalagayan ng mga botante.

“We call on the Comelec and DOH to coordinate closely to ensure there are enough medical personnel — including nurses, emergency responders, and even volunteer doctors — in precincts nationwide. Their presence could be the difference between life and death for some voters, especially those who are frail or medically compromised,” panawagan pa ng AGRI Party-list.

“We understand that the Comelec already has contingency plans in place, but we urge them to include, or at the very least strengthen, provisions for on-site medical assistance in coordination with the DOH, local government units, and the Philippine Red Cross,” dugtong ng AGRI party-list.
