PAPURI at pasasalamat ang paabot ni Kabayan partylist Rep. Ron Salo sa gobyerno ng Pilipinas at Indonesia sa matagumpay na pagsagip kay Mary Jane Veloso sa parusang kamatayan.
“I commend the Philippine government for successfully bringing Mary Jane Veloso back to the country. This highlights our government’s resolve in protecting the lives and dignity of every Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), especially those in vulnerable situations.,” pahayag ng pro-OFW congressman.
“I also thank the Indonesian government for their compassion and goodwill, which gives Mary Jane’s family the opportunity to see her more often and spend valuable time together,” dugtong ni Salo na tumatayong vice-chairman ng House Committee on Government Reorganization at dating chairman ng Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs
Matapos aniya ang hirap na pinagdaanan ni Veloso sa Indonesia, higit na angkop bumalangkas ng mas matibay na panuntunan para protektahan ang mga overseas Filipino workers mula sa illegal trafficking at exploitation.
“We must work tirelessly to prevent similar situations from happening to other fellow Filipinos,” diin pa ng Kabayan partylist solon.
