MAGPAPATULOY na ang reclamation projects sa ilalim ng Pasay Eco-City Coastal Development matapos i-exempt ni Pangulong Marcos sa suspension order sa proyekto sa bansa.
Ito ay matapos makakuha ang coastal development projects na hinihinging environmental compliance certificate at area clearance mula sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources at Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA).
Ayon sa Pasay City government, maayos na nakakuha ng iba pang kailangan sa proyekto sa PRA at local government.
“This is a most welcome development as the lifting will pave the way for the resumption of development activities with the end goal of helping further boost the economy and providing needed revenue to the government,” ayon kay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano kasabay ng pasasalamat sa Pangulo.
“We renew our commitment to ensuring that rules and regulations governing the project are always followed to the letter as we have always done from the outset,” dagdag pa nito.
Ang Eco-City development ay kinabibilangan ng dalawang reclamation projects sa Manila Bay na kilala bilang “Pasay 265” at “Pasay 360.”
Ang Pasay 265 ay katuwang sa Pasay Harbor Corp. na sasakop sa 265 ektarya offshore development ng “new cosmopolitan, eco-friendly and iconic waterfront city.”
Ang isa pang reclamation project ay sasakop sa 360 ektarya na lalahukan ng SM Smart City Infrastructure and Development Corp. at konektado sa Mall of Asia complex ng SM Group.
Inaasahan ng local government ang trilyong halaga ng kita mula sa Eco-City development plan.
