“Finding probable cause, the House Committee on Justice sent its report and recommendation on the impeachment complaints against the Vice President of the Republic to the plenary that cast an unexpected overwhelming vote to impeach the Vice President way beyond the constitutional requirement,” saad sa pahayag ng BIBLEMODE.
“This echoed the general sentiment of the Filipino people on the accountability of the Vice President, like any other public officer and employee,” dagdag ng grupo.
Kabilang sa mga lumagda sa naturang statement ay sina BIBLEMODE Officers Dr. Pio Tica, Vice-President for External Affairs ng Malabon Bible Baptist Church; Dr. Reuben Abante, Secretary-General/Treasurer ng Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church sa Tatalon, Quezon City; Pastor Joey Sauco, Vice-President for Internal Affairs ng BBC Pasay Malibay; at Atty. Henry Domingo, Sr., Press Relations & Legal Officer ng Metropolitan Bible Baptist Ekklesia Sta. Ana, Manila.
Pasok din sa talaan ng mga nakalagda ang Board Member Pastor Emerson Cruz ng Bible Baptist Temple San Fernando City, Pampanga; Pastor Bert Chan ng BBC Hagonoy Bulacan; Pastor Jimbo Cortes ng Mabolo BBC Cebu City; Pastor Ferdinand Escala ng Lighthouse Bible Baptist Mission sa Cainta City, Rizal; Pastor Provy Cadelina ng Hosanna BBC Bacarra, Ilocos Norte; at Pastor Emmanuel Prado ng Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church sa Camarines Sur.
“The House has done its job wonderfully. Now, the Senate must do its constitutionally-mandated job, it is now for the Senate to hear and decide this case on the merits,” diin din ng BBC organization.
“As human law mandates that cases should be decided impartially based on the facts established by the evidence and not on public opinions or perceptions; applicable laws; and jurisprudence, in faithful adherence to the Constitution, and without pressure, influence,” anila.
“We humbly urge the Senate to act with dispatch because as the legal maxim and principle says: justice delayed is justice denied,” pahayag ng BIBLEMODE.
“We respectfully appeal to the Senate to act immediately and rise above personal, political or other considerations,” paghihimok ng grupo.
“We urge the Senate to act with integrity without delay or maneuvering. At this moment in our life as a nation, our democratic processes and institutions hang in the balance and any attempt to shy away from this constitutional duty is in itself a betrayal of public trust that would further erode trust and confidence in such processes and institutions,” hirit ng grupo.
Panghuli, ibinahagi ng BIBLEMODE ang mga kataga mula sa Leviticus na “Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor; nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour,”
Gayundin ang mula sa Deuteronomy na sinasabing “Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s.”
“Probably around June and the trial begins, the actual trial will begin,” sapantaha ni Alonto Adiong.
“As soon as we present the evidence to the people and to the Senate itself, acting as an impeachment court, I’m positive for a favorable outcome,” diin ng kongresista.
