AYAW mabahiran ng Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) sa kinasasangkutang eskandalo ni Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
Ito ang nakikitang dahilan sa likod ng desisyon ng NPC na tanggalin bilang miyembro ng partido ang kontrobersyal na alkaldeng iniuugnay sa scam farms na nadiskubre sa likod ng ilegal na operasyon offshore gaming hubs sa bayan ng Bamban.
Sa isang liham na pirmado ni dating Senate President Tito Sotto na tumatayong NPC chairman, ipinabatid kay Guo na tanggal na siya sa talaan ng mga miyembro ng partido.
“Pursuant to the attached order dated 22 June 2024 of NPC Chairperson and former Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III, the undersigned hereby informs you that you have been removed from the NPC’s roster of members effective immediately,” saad sa liham ng NPC kay Guo.
“Despite calls from various sectors, your adamant refusal and failure to provide concrete and compelling evidence to disprove the damaging accusations against you, created serious doubts which the NPC has determined to be detrimental to its interests and time-honored principles,” dagdag ng NPC.
“Thus, the national leadership of the NPC has officially decided to remove you from its roster of members and sever all political ties with you.”
Nahaharap si Guo sa kabi-kabilang kaso, kabilang ang paglabag sa Gract and Corrupt Practices Act na isinampa sa Office of the Ombudsman ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Swak din sa asuntong qualified human trafficking and kontrobersyal na alkalde ng Bamban na iniuugnay sa illegal POGO operation sa nasasakupang bayan.
Patuloy din ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng Senado sa tunay na pagkatao ng suspendidong mayor.
