“I did not resign,” pag-amin ni Bersamin sa isang panayam sa radyo.
Earlier in the day last November 17, someone called to tell me I had to go as the ES. The call was not from Malacañang,” dugtong ng retiradong mahistrado.
“I informed the President by text that I had no problem exiting. About 2 pm, the PCO reportedly announced my resignation ‘out of delicadeza.’ Still, I did not submit any letter as of then,” dagdag pa niya.
“Before I left for home, I signed my letter expressing my submission to the President’s prerogative with instructions to my staff to bring the letter to the Office of the Appointments Secretary. I left deciding that that would be the last time I would step into that office,” pahabol ni Bersamin.
