UNTI-UNTI na nga bang kumukupas ang impluwensya ng pinakamayamang pamilya sa bansa?
Sa isang kalatas, partikular na tinukoy ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang reklamo ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) laban sa pamilya Villar at iba pang corporate officials and Villar Landholdings kaugnay ng umano’y market manipulation, insider trading at misleading disclosure para pataasin ang halaga ng shares ng kumpanya ng mga Villar.
Gayunpaman, bantulot magbigay ng detalyadong pahayag si DOJ Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon.
“There are ongoing evaluations, but as far as the department is concerned, no pronouncements can be made just yet because we don’t want to preempt the results of the evaluations,” wika ni Fadullon.
Nilinaw rin ni Fadullon kung dadaan sa evaluation ang reklamo, “technically, parang wala pang kasong isinampa.”
“It will still have to go through study and scrutiny by the panel to determine whether it is already appropriate to conduct the preliminary investigation,” pahabol ng DOJ official. (JULIET PACOT)
