PARA kay Senador Sonny Angara, malaking bentahe sa pamahalaan ang pagsasabatas ng Tatak Pinoy Act na aniya’y magsisilbing gabay sa implementasyon ng Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Angara, pangunahing may-akda ng batas, na isang higanteng hakbang para sa Pilipinas ang Tatak Pinoy Act upang maging isang industriyalisadong bansa.
“We thank President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for sharing our vision on Tatak Pinoy and supporting this measure. Tatak Pinoy will complement and help attain the goals set forth in the Philippine Development Plan. We also thank the leaders and members of the Senate for their support to this very important piece of legislation and to the House of Representatives for adopting our bill and swiftly approving it as a priority measure,” ani Angara.
Halos limang taon ang ginugol ni Angara sa pag-aaral, pananaliksik, at konsultasyon sa hanay ng micro, small and medium enterprises, akademya, dayuhang institusyon at iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan sa pagbalangkas ng naturang landmark law na nilagdaan kamakailan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Kabilang aniya sa mga probisyong higit na makakatulong sa pag-unlad ng bansa ang mga targeted interventions na nakatuon sa partikular na industriya at sektor na may malaking potensyal na mapaunlad at mapalawak.
Aniya, lilikhain ang isang Tatak Pinoy Strategy na magsisilbi bilang roadmap ng national government agencies, local government units, at private sector sa pagkamit ng adhikain ng batas.
“This will be a very comprehensive program that will start from education where we will ensure our learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills they will need to cater to the requirements of employers; embracing innovation and technology transfer to allow businesses to come up with more sophisticated and higher value goods and services; and making strategic investments to address the gaps and strengthen the foundation of all industries and its workforce,” ayon kay Angara.
