NAGTAKDA ang New People’s Army ng dalawang araw na ceasefire para sa kanilang ika-55 anibersaryo ng Communist Party of the Philippines sa Disyembre 26.
Magsisimula ang ceasefire ng hatinggabi ng Disyembre 25 at magtatapos ng alas-11:59 ng gabi ng Disyembre 26.
“The two-day ceasefire aims to allow the peasant masses and NPA units in their area to conduct assemblies, meetings or gatherings to celebrate the Party’s anniversary, look back at past achievements, and pay tribute to all heroes and martyrs of the Philippine revolution,” ayon sa kalatas ng CPP at NPA.
“This ceasefire declaration is also in solidarity with people’s traditional holiday celebrations,” ayon pa sa kalatas.
Naghahanda na rin ang gobyerno at
National Democratic Front of the Philippines sa muling pag-uusap para sa kapayapaan.
