INIHAYAG ni House Secretary General Atty. Cheloy Garafil ang pormal na pagpasa ng kanyang tanggapan kay Office of the Speaker ng ikatlong impeachment complaint ng inihain laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte gabi nitong Lunes.
“I confirm that my office formally transmitted the third impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte to the office of Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III early Monday night, in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of the House of Representatives,” pahayag ni Garafil.
Ang ikatlong impeachment complaint laban sa pangalawang pangulo ay inihain ng grupo ng private citizens, na mula sa hanay ng kaparian, civil society leaders at legal practitioners.
Matapos ang pagsusuri, ganap na itinuring bilang “verified complaint” sa bisa ng endorsement ni House Deputy Minority Leader at Mamamayang Liberal (ML) partylist Rep. Leila De Lima – hudyat para sa agarang “transmittal” sa Office of the Speaker para sa susunod na hakbang, alinsunod sa panuntunan ng Kamara.
“I emphasize that the role of the Office of the Secretary General in impeachment proceedings is strictly ministerial. My office is tasked only with the receipt, verification, and transmission of impeachment complaints and their endorsements,” pagtatapos ni Garafil. (ROMER R. BUTUYAN)
