SA kabila ng mga pagsubok sa pambansang pulisya, mayroon pa rin naman dahilan para sila’y makaramdam ng saya.
Sa isang kalatas, partikular na tinukoy ng pamunuan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang nasa P3.39-bilyong pondo para sa Performance Based Bonus (PNP) na inaprubahan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Kasunod ng anunsyo, hinimok ni acting PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez ang mga kapwa pulis na tuparin ang mandato, dedikasyon at sakripisyo para mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa bansa.
“We express gratitude to our Commander-In-Chief, President Marcos, and the DBM for the approval of the release of P3.39 billion, which will cover the payment of the Fiscal Year 2023 Performance-Based Bonus of our personnel,” wika ni Nartatez.
“Malaki boost yan para sa morale ng ating kapulisan na matapat na nagtatrabaho para sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan ng bansa. This will also help not just our policemen, but also their families,” dagdag pa ng acting PNP chief.
Una nang sinabi ng DBM na ang bawat kwalipikadong PNP official at personnel ay tatanggap ng PBB na katumbas ng 45.5 porsyento ng kanilang buwanang basic salary mula sa Disyembre 31, 2023.
Huhugutin ang pondo sa Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund (MPBF) sa ilalim ng Republic Act 12116 na mas kilala sa tawag na Fiscal Year 2025 General Appropriations Act.
Tiniyak din ng panumuan ng PNP na magiging transparent at patas ang pamamahagi ng performance-based bonus, alinsunod sa patakarang itinakda ng DBM at ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
