USAP-USAPAN sa Palasyo ang umano’y pagbibitiw sa pwesto ng isa pang Kalihim dahil sa pagkadismaya ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Batay sa dokumentong nakalap mula sa Palasyo, mismong si Press Secretary Cesar Chavez ang nagtalaga kay Senior Undersecretary Emerald Anne Ridao bilang officer-in-charge ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
“In the exigency of the service and to ensure the continuous operations of the PCO, Senior Undersecretary Emerald Anne Ridao is hereby designated Officer-in-Charge of the Presidential Communications Office on 17-21 February 2025,” saad sa dokumentong pirmado ng punong propagandista ng Palasyo.
“As such, Senior Undersecretary Ridao shall take care of the day-to-day operations of the PCO, and if necessary, act for and on behalf of the Acting Secretary,” dugtong sa special order ni Chavez.
Una nang lumutang ang napipintong pagsibak kay Chavez dahil umano sa matabang na resultang inaasahan ni Marcos kaugnay ng mga programa ng administrasyon.
Buwan ng Setyembre ng nakalipas na taon nang hirangin ni Marcos ang dating brodkaster bilang Press Secretary, kapalit ni Atty. Cheloy Garafil.
