INILATAG ni Impeachment Court Spokesman Atty. Reginald Tongol ang 11 Steps na proseso ng paglilitis kay Vice President Sara Duterte kasabay ng pagdeklara nito na sakto sa schedule ang pag-aasikaso ng Senado sa naturang usapin.
Natapos na ang Step 1 hanggang Step 4 ng proseso at sa kasalukuyan ay nasa Step 5 na ito o ang paghihintay sa sagot ni VP Sara sa summons, saad ni Tongol sa Saturday News Forum sa Quezon City.
Hunyo 10 nang ipinag-utos ng Senado na padalhan ng summons ang bise presidente. Sampung araw o hanggang Hunyo 21 ang ibinigay na palugit ng impeachment court sa kampo ni Duterte para sumagot sa summons, pero dahil weekend ang Hunyo 21 ay itinakda ito na hanggang 11:59 ng gabi ng Hunyo 23 (Lunes).
Subalit kahit umano hindi sumagot si Duterte sa summons ay tuloy-tuloy pa ring aandar ang proseso.
“Whether or not there is an answer, or whether or not there is an appearance pero walang answer, patuloy pa rin po ‘yung proseso. By June 30 ay nasa Step 6 na tayo (Pagtugon ng House prosecutors sa sagot ni VP Sara sa summons). So makikita po ninyo, na tuloy-tuloy ang proseso, wala itong naging paghinto. We’re on time,” saad ni Tongol.
Sinabi pa nito na tatawid sa 20th Congress ang impeachment.
“Yes, tatawid talaga kasi ‘yun talaga ‘yung mangyayari.
