“AS he himself, as an investigator, he knows that such accusations should be backed up by evidence.”
“It is quite irresponsible and unfair to just brush the entire institution with a single stroke and to say that 90 percent of the members are corrupt. We should be judged based on our individual work,” wika ni Alonto Adiong na tumatayong chairman ng House Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms.
“If he has names, it’s better to name names rather than to attack the entire institution,” hamon ng kongresista.
“As public officers and public officials, we carry responsibility when we speak about certain matters, not only to give clarity to the public but with precision. When I say precision, it has to also be backed up by evidence, solid evidence,” paalala rin ni Alonto Adiong.
“The volume of attacks and misinformation thrown our way, ayun ang pinaka-challenging.
“So no matter the volume of fake news attacks against us, we will not be silenced and we will continue, we will soldier on,” diin ng Lanao del Sur solon.
Dahil naman mas nakatuon ngayon ang atensyon sa pagsasakdal sa bise presidente, sinabi ni House impeachment lead prosecutor Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro na “the only challenge that I have is I do not have any more the luxury of time of moving around my district.”
“My constituents have responded positively because they understand that the work of the prosecution panel is part of a larger constitutional duty, not merely a political assignment,” paliwanag ng lady solon.
“We know it’s actually very tiring for us, for the prosecutors, for the comms, for our talking heads to be part of this whole process. The work has been continuous since the impeachment complaints were filed in January. Prosecutors have been studying even on weekends, reading the same materials and returning to the discipline of legal study as they prepare for trial,” paglalahad ni Zamora.
“The burden is heavy, but the reason remains clear. We always say that we’re doing this for accountability for the country.”
