KINILALA ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang mga empleyado ng Kamara de Representantes, kasama ang mga congressional staff sa kanilang sipag at dedikasyon sa trabaho at sinabi na sila ang nagsisilbing lakas ng kapulungan.
“We recognize that our greatest asset is not the walls that surround us, nor the laws we pass, but the people who work tirelessly to uphold the pillars of our democracy,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Nagpasalamat si Speaker Romualdez, ang lider ng mahigit 300 kongresista, sa mga empleyado sa isinagawang flag-raising ceremony ng Kamara ngayong Lunes.
“Your hard work, dedication, and resilience are the driving forces behind our remarkable achievements. Let us continue to work hand in hand, with integrity and commitment, as we steer this House towards greater heights,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na nagsusumikap din ang liderato upang masuklian ang pagtatrabaho ng mga empleyado at matiyak na maayos ang kanilang pinapasukan.
“In our ongoing efforts, we have successfully implemented salary improvements that honor your invaluable contributions to our legislative work. These adjustments are a testament to our recognition of your hard work and dedication. Furthermore, we have continuously worked on enriching your benefits package,” saad pa ni Speaker Romualdez.
Bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang papel ng mga ina, sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na gumawa ng hakbang ang Kamara upang masuportahan ang aknialng pangangailangan.
Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, sinertipikahan ng Department of Health ang Kamara bilang “Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace.”
Binanggit din ni Speaker Romualdez ang iba’t ibang programa at pasilidad na gagawin ng Kamara upang mapataas ang antas ng kakayanan at maging maayos ang pagtatrabaho ng mga empleyado.
“In our commitment to inclusivity and diversity, we have rolled out comprehensive gender and development training. This initiative underscores our dedication to promoting a work environment that respects and celebrates gender equality, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and valued,” wika pa ng lider ng Kamara.
Mayroon din umanong mga itatayong pasilidad na nakalinya na.
“The construction of a permanent secretariat building is underway, a testament to our commitment to providing a stable and conducive work environment for our staff. In the realm of technology, we are undergoing a network modernization project. This upgrade will not only enhance our digital infrastructure but also ensure that we stay connected and efficient in this rapidly evolving digital age,” sabi pa nito.
Itatayo rin umano ng Kamara ang Institute for Legislation and Legislative Governance upang mahubog umano ang kasanayan ng mga empleyado sa paggawa ng batas.
“We have also not forgotten the importance of health and wellness. A state-of-the-art sport and fitness center, including a basketball court, is in the works. This facility will provide a space for physical activity and relaxation, promoting a healthy work-life balance,” sabi pa nito.
“Pangako po namin sa inyo: ibabalik natin ang basketball court at sports complex na dati ay pinakikinabangan ng lahat,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Mababang Kapulungan.
Nasa plano rin umano ang pagtatayo ng medical and wellness center para sa mga empleyado at kanilang dependent bukod pa sa multi-story parking building para magkaroon ng sapat na parking area sa loob ng Batasan Complex.
Aayusin din umano ang north at south wing lobby upang mas maging functional ito at maging simbolo ng “dignity and prestige” ng Kamara, ani Speaker.
