AGAD na tinuldukan ni Senador Chiz Escudero ang ‘guessing game’ sa social media kaugnay ng bulilyaso sa EDSA bus lane ng isang black SUV na may protocol plate na nakalaan para sa mga senador.
Pag-amin ni Escudero, sa kanya ang itim na SUV na sinita ng Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation dahil sa pagpasok sa exclusivelane para sa mga pampasadang bus sa Metro Manila.
Kasabay ng paghingi ng dispensa sa publiko, nilinaw ng senador na hindi siya ang sakay nang mahuli ang drayber ng naturang SUV. Aniya, isang miyembro ng kanyang pamilya ang sakay nang mangyari ang insidente.
“In the morning of 11 April 2024, a vehicle bearing protocol license plates issued to me was apprehended by the MMDA for improperly using the bus lane on Edsa. The use of the protocol plate was unauthorized, as the vehicle was being driven by the driver of a family member,” wika ni Escudero sa isang pahayag.
“I do not personally use the protocol license plates issued to me, and forthwith the protocol plates involved in the incident will be surrendered to the Land Transportation Office,” dagdag ng senador.
Inutusan na rin di umano niya ang drayber ng kanyang SUV na magtungo sa tanggapan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) alinsunod sa show-cause order. issued to him and to answer the charges he faces for the violation.
